Family-Owned and Locally Operated. University of Beer (UOB) was founded by Nate at the young age of 24. Alongside his wife, Melissa, both actively participate in the business and are responsible for the creative décor. The couple is proud of UOB's independent growth without investors, which enables them to prioritize their team and guests. 

Seven Homegrown Locations. Since opening in Davis in 2012, UOB has expanded throughout the Greater Sacramento Area. We support our communities by sponsoring local events, hosting fundraisers for schools and sports teams, and contributing to noteworthy causes. 

Wide Variety of Rotating Beers. Our tap list is refreshed daily with high-quality, unique brews sourced from over 400 breweries, featuring both local and award-winning options. 

Chef-Inspired Cuisine. Nate, an accomplished Thai chef with a fine dining background, takes immense pride in our locally sourced, house-made dishes that offer a quality dining experience in a relaxed atmosphere. 

We Love Dogs and Sports! UOB's pup-friendly patios welcome dogs to join their owners, while our TVs always feature favorite sports channels and local team games. Join us for watch parties during big games to share the excitement.

Starter:

Spicy Mussels & Chorizo

Steamed mussels on the shell, spicy chorizo, cilantro-lime roasted tomato sauce, roasted garlic, toasted baguette brushed with butter.

Entree:

Beer-Battered Burger

Beef patty deep-fried in craft beer-batter, Swiss cheese, Citrus Jalapeno Aioli, topped with waffle fries and Spicy Ranch.

With a side of Drunken Pig Fries

Dessert:

Creme Brulee 

Vanilla creme brulee with a dash of Jameson Irish Whiskey, served with torched sugar topping.

Jumbo-sized crispy tater tots shaped like beer kegs. Stuffed with bacon, jalapeno, three-cheese blend, potato, and sour cream. Served on a bed of Russian River Beer Cheese.

Entree:

Thai Mango Salad w/ Grilled Mahi & Shrimp

Grilled mahi, prawns, shredded sweet mangos, baked coconut flakes, carrots, red onion, green onion, cilantro, and toasted almonds in a Thai citrus vinaigrette.
